1. The first character I first fell in love with

Hm. This is actually a tough one. I think it might be Barquiel, actually. There were characters I liked before, but he was the first I fell in love w/.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now

That’d be Barquiel as well. After his introduction, I never expected to love him as much as I do. It was his snark that really won me over.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t

Melisande. I do get the appeal, but she always made my skin crawl. She’s kind of a character I love to hate.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates

Probably Kazan Atrabiades, though I’m not sure if fandom hates him or just the part of Chosen he appears in. I have a thing for pirates, ok?

5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer

I don’t think there is one. I’m pretty consistent w/ characters I like & dislike.

6. The character I would totally smooch

BARQUIEL. Once again, I like to do a lot more than smooch. I’d like a turn w/ Joscelin too.

7. The character I’d want to be like

Phedre & Ysandre, for their strength & ability to overcome huge adversity.

8. The character I’d slap

Melisande (don’t kill me for this one, fandom!). Also, sometimes I think Imriel needs a slap to get him out of emo mode.

9. A pairing that I love

Phedre/Joscelin & Phedre/Nicola are favorite canon ships. for non-canon ships, I love Phedre/Barquiel & Imriel/Maslin.

10. A pairing that I despise

I’ve never been fond of Phedre/Melisande, though it’s crucial to the series. I don’t like romantic!Phedre/Hyacinthe either. Platonic!Phedre/Hyacinthe ftw!!!
